India Vs Australia 4th Test Live Cricket Streaming 2012

India Vs Australia 4th Test Live Cricket Streaming 2012: Sublime centuries from Ricky Ponting and Michael Clarke pounded a lacklustre India on the opening day of the 4th Test, at the Adelaide Oval, January 24, 2012.
Ricky Ponting and Michael Clarke both hit centuries and combined for 251 runs to drive Australia to 335 for three as India wilted in the Adelaide sun on the opening day of the fourth test on Tuesday.

A rejuvenated Ponting became just the third cricketer to score 13,000 test runs as he reached 137 not out, while Clarke, his successor as Australia captain, notched up his fourth century in eight tests with an unbeaten 140.

India's hopes of salvaging a modicum of pride after losing the series with emphatic defeats in the first three tests looked bright when they removed Australia's top order before lunch but melted in 37 degree Celsius heat in the afternoon.

Ponting's 41st test century was far more fluent than the 40th, which he scored to end a two-year drought in the second test in Sydney earlier this month.

The 37-year-old, who scored his 13,000th test run with a swept single to deep square leg, brought up the hundred in 164 balls with his 11th four and doffed his helmet to accept a standing ovation from the crowd.

"I felt I played better today than I did in Sydney, it was probably a better wicket to bat on today, there wasn't much in it for any of the Indian bowlers," Ponting told reporters.

Clarke, who won the toss and elected to bat on a good batting track, shared a record partnership of 288 with Ponting in Sydney when he hit a brilliant 329 not out.

After the pair had again rescued Australia's innings from 84-3 to stand at 214 at tea, Clarke made a statement two balls into the final session by marching down the pitch to smash a huge six off part-time spinner Virender Sehwag.

The 30-year-old reached the century, his 19th in tests, with a less emphatic stroke and the ball trickled to the boundary at fourth man for his 14th four.

Sehwag had made a promising start as stand-in skipper for the banned Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the morning, keeping the Australians on the back foot and bucking convention by introducing recalled spinner Ravi Ashwin in the fourth over.

It was the pace bowling of Zaheer Khan at the other end, however, that forced the breakthrough when his inswinger trapped lefthander David Warner leg before for eight with just 26 runs showing on the picturesque ground's famous old scoreboard.

Shaun Marsh had made 14 in four innings in the series and his poor form continued when he misjudged the flight of an Ashwin delivery which went between bat and pad, took the bails off and sent him scurrying back to the pavilion for three.

Ashwin struck again 10 minutes before lunch to remove Ed Cowan for 30, tempting the opener into a miscued cover drive that VVS Laxman intercepted with a fine low catch at short cover to leave Australia struggling.

India took the new ball five overs before the end of the day and Ishant Sharma almost removed Clarke but Laxman was this time unable to hold a difficult catch.

Watch SL vs SA, ODI Cricket Highlights. Sri Lanka vs South Africa Highlights 2nd ODI East London 14 Jan 2012.

Sri Lanka, like their fellow World Cup finalists, find themselves tumbling down a seemingly endless abyss. And like with India, the big question is whether Sri Lanka are doing anything to arrest their descent. The Durban Test suggested a revival, but in reality that win was down to a magnificent exhibition of in-the-trenches grit from Thilan Samaraweera, and an equally large-hearted effort from Rangana Herath. Sri Lanka responded by leaving Samaraweera out of the ODI squad, and Herath out of the starting XI for Paarl. Their presence may not have altered the result in that game, but nonetheless they were missed.

There’s only one way Sri Lanka can go from 43 all out, but a revival will require application from the big three at the top. Tillakaratne Dilshan has been the biggest culprit, attempting million-dollar strokes too early, and falling for single-digit scores five times in seven innings so far on the tour. Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakkara, between them, have managed just one century in 14 efforts. Even that would not have transpired had Mark Boucher not dropped a regulation catch from Sangakkara early in his second-innings effort in Durban. Sri Lanka’s attack will be desperate for their batsmen to turn the corner in East London, where the conditions are expected to be similar to Paarl’s.

Everything South Africa tried worked in the first one-dayer. The batting clicked in unison to leave the Sri Lankan attack with figures much worse than they deserved. AB de Villiers attempted radical 7-2 fields, only for his bowlers to back him up and the Sri Lanka batsmen to play into his hands. At some point in his tenure, de Villiers will be confronted by tougher circumstances, and given the capricious nature of the one-day format, it could happen in the very next game. Source

India Vs Australia 2012 Test Star Cricket Live Streaming

India Vs Australia 2012 Test Star Cricket Live Streaming: ESPN Star live streaming continues and now the cricket impetus moves towards Australia again. Recently concluded Australia Vs New Zealand series has added to the flavour of the forthcoming India Vs Australia cricket series. Reasons being: We all know Australia when hurted bounces back very hard. India is wary about this thing. On the other hand, we can’t ignore the slump of Australian cricket in recent years. India has their best chance ever to clinch a series win here down under.

Ricky Ponting is under a scanner as his last century way back somewhere in 2010. Adding to the injury, the team’s performance has not been upto the mark. So Ponting is likely to face the wrath and might be axed. Skipper Clarke needs to be patient and continue the revival efforts for the team. David Warner had silenced the critics by playing a good innings against New Zealand.

India is riding high with a full strength batting line up and in form batsmen like Sehwag, Gambhir, Dravid, Sachin and Laxman. Above all they have the inspiring captaincy of MS Dhoni. The seeds of good future performances were sowed in the last two series down under. India was always close for a test series win but ultimately things went the other way round.

MS Dhoni is aware that they shouldn’t take the out of form Australian team lightly. But at the same time he agrees that this is their best chance ever to upstage Australia down under.  With the comeback of Zaheer Khan, there is a little betterment in the bowling department. Playing 5 seamers will never be an ideal deal for Indians as they have to rely on their strength of spin.

Bouncy tracks of Australia will create problems for Indian batsmen but we also can’t write off the fact that couple of previous wins for India came on the bounciest of Australian pitches. Things are even stevens at this moment. Let us see which team can handle the pressure well and come out as a true champion! Enjoy every bit of India Vs Australia 2012 live streaming online.

Australia Vs India 2nd Test at Sydney Watch Online 1012

Australia Vs India 2nd Test at Sydney Watch Online 1012: Michael Clarke scored only the 25th triple century in test cricket before declaring Australia s first innings at 659 for four, a lead of 468, on the third day of the second test against India on Thursday.

The Australia captain was 329 not out, the fourth highest score by an Australian and 14th highest by any batsman, when he called an end to the innings just after Mike Hussey reached 150.

India's second innnings got off to a poor start and the tourists lost opener Virender Sehwag for four, reaching tea on 53 for one to add to their first innings of 191.

After tea break India lost Rahul Dravid 29 at 100.

Clarke had brought up the 300 shortly after lunch, flicking the ball through midwicket off the bowling of Ishant Sharma for the 37th four of his majestic innings to become the 21st cricketer to reach the milestone.

The 30-year-old whipped off his helmet to acknowledge a standing ovation from the crowd at the Sydney Cricket Ground and pointed his bat towards his team mates in the home dressing room.

Clarke faced 478 balls and batted for 10 hours and 17 minutes when he waved Hussey off the pitch to another huge ovation from the crowd, keen to leave enough time to bowl India out.

Hussey and his captain had put on 334 for the fifth wicket, eclipsing the previous highest partnership for Australia against India of 288, which Clarke set with Ricky Ponting on Wednesday.

India's batsmen face a Herculean task to rescue the test and keep alive their hopes of winning a first series in Australia but got off to a poor start when Sehwag fell to Ben Hilfenhaus with just 18 runs on the board.

The big paceman swung a delivery across the opener, who slashed it towards David Warner at point and the Australian dived to his left for an athletic two-handed catch.

The embattled Gautam Gambhir, who had raced to 39, and Rahul Dravid, who had made seven, were to resume after the break.

Clarke started the day on 251 and hit a single to mid off on the fourth ball of the morning to edge ahead of England's Wally Hammond for the third highest score in 100 tests at the SCG.

Understandably tired after batting through Wednesday, Clarke took his time to find his batting rhythm but never looked troubled as Hussey kept the scoreboard ticking over at the other end.

A swept four off spinner Ravi Ashwin allowed him to pass Brian Lara's 277 and take second place on the list of top scores at the ground behind Tip Foster, who scored his 278 in 1902-3.

He passed the Englishman's mark to a huge roar from the crowd with a cover drive for four off Sharma 10 minutes before lunch.

Hussey had started the day on 55 and played superbly to reach his 16th test century with a single to third man, a vindication for a player in his mid-thirties with his place in the side under pressure after a poor run of form.

Australia won the first test by 112 runs in Melbourne last week.

India VS Australia 2nd Test Live Cricket Score 2012

India VS Australia 2nd Test Live Cricket Score 2012: Michael Clarke hit a brilliant unbeaten 251 and Ricky Ponting his first hundred in two years as Australia took control of the second test against India on Wednesday, finishing the second day on an imposing 482 for four.

Clarke batted through the day for his first test double century and the highest score by an Australian at the Sydney Cricket Ground, while Michael Hussey pitching in with 55 not out to give Australia a lead of 291 over India's first innings 191.

Ponting had departed just before tea for 134 to end the fourth-wicket partnership with Clarke at 288, a record for Australia in tests against India and a potentially match-winning effort from a pair who came together with the score on 37-3.

Needing victory to level the four-match series after a 122-run defeat in the opener in Melbourne last week, India's bowlers had been hoping for some early wickets but instead laboured all day in the heat.

Resuming the innings on 116-3, Clarke clipped a shot off his pads for three runs to bring up his fifty on the second ball of the morning and continued to play with composure as he moved towards his third century in his last six tests.

The 30-year-old reached his 18th test century, and the first of the series from either side, in the last over of the morning by slapping a Zaheer Khan delivery through the covers.

Ponting, who last scored a test century against Pakistan in Hobart in January 2010, matched his successor as captain almost run-for-run throughout the session but endured a nervous wait on 97 through the lunch break.

Three overs into the afternoon, however, the 37-year-old reached his 40th test century with a rushed single off the bowling of Ishant Sharma that could have cost him his wicket.

As Zaheer's throw at the stumps missed, Ponting was able to pick himself up, brush off the dust and take a standing ovation from the 30,000 crowd.

It was the first long period of dominance for the bat in a series where bowlers have had the upper hand and India's attack looked like journeymen until the new ball arrived.

Sharma finally broke up the partnership when he got some bounce into his deliveries and Ponting caught the ball high on the bat to give Sachin Tendulkar an easy catch in the gully.

By that time, Clarke had already reached his 150 and continued to hit the bowlers all over the ground to pass his previous best test score of 168 shortly before tea.

Sharma could have dismissed him caught and bowled on 182 but just failed to keep hold of the ball and Clarke reached his double century a couple of overs later.

The landmark arrived with two runs through square after 365 minutes, 284 balls and included 24 fours and a single six and Clarke celebrated wildly, running around the pitch swinging his bat in the air.

Hussey joined in the run-spree with some gusto and hit his 50 off 70 balls, reaching the mark an over after hitting two fours and a six in successive balls off spinner Ravi Ashwin.

It was undoubtedly Clarke's day, though. An authoritative cover drive saw him past Doug Walters' previous Australian record at the ground of 242 and there was still time to raise the 250.

India have never won a test series in Australia and face three days of hard work if they are to keep alive their hopes of doing so this year.

We will deny Sachin Tendulkar the century: Mike Hussey

Sachin Tendulkar's incredible record at Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) makes Mike Hussey nervous but the Australian batsman and his team mates will do everything to prolong the Indian great's agonising wait for his 100th international century.

Tendulkar, stranded on 99 centuries in one-days and tests since March last year, averages a mammoth 221-plus at SCG and underlined his form with a fluent 73 in Melbourne last week.

"I can assure you that everyone in our dressing room does not want him to make a 100," Hussey told reporters Sunday.

"I am a bit nervous because the stars seem to be aligning with Sachin needing one more 100. (It's) the 100th test match in Sydney, he's made runs here before.

"It's a little bit ominous but hopefully we can make him wait until after this series and he can get a 100 in the first game of the next series that he plays."

Tendulkar's team mate Rohit Sharma said the batting great was not putting himself under any pressure ahead of the second test of the four-match series starting Tuesday.

"I'm sure he's also not thinking of that. As we know, Sydney is his lucky ground so hopefully it happens here," said Sharma, whose other wish would be to make his test debut at SCG.

The last time the teams met at SCG was in 2008 when a row, involving Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh being accused of racially abusing Andrew Symonds, soured relations between the sides.

"That was a long time ago and the personalities and teams have changed quite a lot, particularly in our team," Hussey said.

Hussey predicted SCG to regain its spin-friendly reputation even though the ground favoured pace bowlers in the previous two New Year tests against Pakistan (2009) and England (2010).

"The last few years have been really seamer friendly and there have been overhead conditions to help that as well," he added.

"It looks definitely a lighter colour and generally that's the way it's gone over here, it has slowed down a little bit and helped the spinners as the game's gone on."

Hussey's words would be music to the ears of off-spinner Nathan Lyon, who would lose out to Australia's returning fast bowler Ryan Harris should the team opt for a four-pronged pace attack.

Lyon did not help his cause with a lacklustre display in Melbourne where despite the team's 122 run victory, he claimed his lone wicket when he removed India's number 11 batsman Umesh Yadav with the last ball of the match.
